Who we are

This website is run by Cashmine. You can reach us at the contact form on this site.

What we collect and why

  • Contact form: your name, email address and message, so we can reply to you.
  • Newsletter: your email address (and name if given), so we can send you new articles. You can unsubscribe from any email.
  • Comments: your name, email address, optional website and comment. Your email address is never shown publicly. A hashed form of your IP address is kept to limit spam.
  • Visit statistics: we count page views using our own first-party tools, with no cross-site tracking and no advertising profiles. Where a cookie banner is shown, counting starts only after you accept.
  • Fonts: text fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google servers when a page loads.

Cookies and local storage

  • pl_consent: remembers your cookie choice for up to a year.
  • Theme preference: your light or dark mode choice is stored in your browser.
  • Session cookie: used only when you sign in or use a protected area.

Legal basis

We process messages and signups on the basis of your consent or your request, and keep basic security and spam-prevention data on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a safe site.

How long we keep data

Messages, signups and comments are kept until you ask us to remove them or until they are no longer needed. Newsletter details are removed when you unsubscribe and ask for erasure.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your data. It is processed by our hosting provider and, where used, our email delivery service, only to run this site.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct or erase it, or object to how we use it. Email the contact form on this site and we will respond promptly. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date above shows the latest version.
